Step into the world of incense, where the essence of MYRRH, a key element in our WATER scent therapy range, encourages self-REFLECTION and inner serenity
Myrrh has a warm and resinous scent with sweet and earthy undertones, known for its grounding and meditative qualities.
Light the incense stick's tip, let it burn for 10-15 seconds, then gently blow or fan out the flame. The incense will turn red and release a subtle wisp of smoke, lasting for around 45-50 minutes.
Incense Reflection Meditation
- Preparation: Find a quiet, comfortable space and select your preferred incense. Place it in an appropriate holder and light it. Position yourself near the incense.
- Centering Breath: Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Inhale slowly through your nose, and as you exhale, let go of any tension or distractions. Feel yourself becoming more centred.
- Observing the Incense: With your eyes still closed, shift your focus to the incense. Concentrate on the sensation of the rising smoke and the soothing aroma. Allow the incense to symbolize the flow of time and experiences.
- Reflective Visualisation: As you inhale the incense's fragrance, let your thoughts gently drift. Visualise the events, feelings, or experiences you'd like to reflect upon. Imagine them as images or memories passing through your mind.
- Mindful Contemplation: Observe your reflections without judgment or attachment. Be present with your thoughts and emotions, acknowledging their significance in your life's journey. Allow yourself to fully experience these moments of reflection.
- Gratitude and Closure: After a few minutes, open your eyes and express gratitude for the opportunity to reflect and gain insights. Blow out the incense, signifying the end of the practice. Carry the newfound understanding and peace with you into your day.
